ARTIST STATEMENT
Artistic expression has always been a creative impulse from my first finger-painting to sculpting clay from my Dad’s excavations. I enjoyed designing homes and bioshelters, Japanese pagodas and Buddhist temples, visualizing every detail and watching it take form. So, to imagine in your mind’s eye is the first step to creating art, that seed, that spark is the magic process which allows those Spiraling Spheres to come forth and manifest art.
Those Spheres vibrate, resonate, spiraling through time and space at various frequencies which make-up our perceived reality of the natural world. The sphere has always been a symbol for me and keeps appearing in my art from animated movies to circle paintings.
When asked, why do you draw and paint? I say because I can and in that expression I connect with those inner spheres of consciousness that are responsible for my art.
